5800 Series Cast Iron Closer

Yale Locks & Hardware, an ASSA ABLOY Group company, introduces its economically priced 5800 Series Cast Iron Door Closer.  This closer is adjustable from size 1 through size 6; consequently, it is ideal for commercial applications such as office buildings, retail, assisted living facilities, military/government installations, hospitality, and medical offices.  It can be easily retrofitted to some existing applications, as it matches a mounting hole pattern that is prevalent in the field. Features include adjustments for backcheck, closing speed, latch speed, rack and pinion operation.

The 5801 door closer is offered with standard non-hold open arms that are “tri-pack” to accommodate regular, parallel, and top jamb arm applications.  The 5811 hold-open arm closers are “tri-packed” as well.  The 5821 heavy duty parallel arm closer incorporates a stop in the arm’s soffit plate creating a “dead stop” feature to control the door.  The 5821T uses the “dead stop," but also incorporates a “ball and detent” hold-open feature for additional control.
