Makes to much sense!!!

My door has been kicked in twice in the last 5 years. I have repaired the frame & after the 1st time I reinforced the frame. The 2nd time they just kicked it 4 times instead of 2. I counted the footprints. Whats the point of locking a door if a 14 year kid can kick it in. The Police came out & looked at it. As one of the officers was leaving, he mentioned a product called the Bolt Buddy. Said he had never seen a door that had one kicked in. That got my interest, so I googled it. I ordered it & installed it myself. Took me about an hour a piece. Was a little harder then video suggested but I'm not really a handy man. Anyway, what a fantastic idea for this product. Its essentially two plates, one on inside & one outside. Through the frame its connected by heavy duty bolts. If someone tries to kick door in, they had better use a truck, the outside plate would have to come right through the studs on either side of door. Good Luck next time to the jerk that kicked in my door!!
